We have been planning to offer neural cell precursors, but have found that, while they do engraft into the central nervous system, they are not as successful as we would like to see at repairing lesions in the CNS. These stem cells are derived from umbilical cord cells, then expanded in number and differentiated into neuronal precursor cells.  They have the capability of turning into neurons, glial cells and oligodendrocytes, and have the capacity of seeking out brain and other neurological lesions.  3 million live cells per unit.

These human neuronal precursor cells are the same type used to treat Parkinsons Disease in rats.  They are derived from mesenchymal stem cells and then expanded in number by tissue culture.  Far short of their maximum number of divisions, they are then differentiated into Neural Precursor Cells.  The cells are capable of further differentiating into Neurons, glial cells, and oligodendrocytes.  They have the ability to penetrate the blood brain barrier, especially in the presence of brain inflammation, but this process may be helped by an infusion of mannitol beforehand.

These cells are extracted from the freshly collected umbilical cords of healthy newborn babies, using the Wharton’s Jelly of the cord itself.  These cells are ready for use in your research program.  Under US law, as a licensed medical practitioner, you may decide to use them to prepare a medical treatment for your own patients, as a part of the practice of medicine.

Cryogenically preserved, and shipped with a kit to thaw and reconstitute the cells, using autologous plasma instead of animal sera.
